The BRAA sponsors
regular programs from September through May. They are:
-
often related
to special events such as Virginia Museum lectures, workshops, and
performances
-
led by highly
qualified artists/specialists fom across the United States.
-
free and open
to the public and
-
frequently held
the third Sunday of the month at 3:00 PM.
The "Annual
Business Meeting" Program is held each April to elect officers
and conduct necessary business.
Programs are scheduled
in the summer for the following year. Program suggestions should be
sent to the Program Chair, P.O. Box 525, Blacksburg, Virginia 24060.
"Because Blacksburg
was one of the original 32 Affiliates of the Museum, ...( it has) ...
first choice on the programs for the coming year before our other, newer
partners." Jeffrey Allison, (pictured, top) VMFA, May 17, 2002.
Program information
is available here, in local print media, member's email, BRAA newsletters, and reminder
postcards. Last Minute schedule changes are announced by telephone,
email and WVTF radio.
