"BRAA's Lois Stephens in the News."
BRAA member, Lois Stephens recently received two different honors for her paintings.
One of her pieces, "Pandapas Pond, Winter" received a blue ribbon at the BRAA booth in Art on the Lawn in Pearisburg on October 3rd.
She also recently had one of her worked entitled "Summer Field at Southgate" placed on the web site of The Cloud Appreciation Society.

"The Arts of Cedric Rudisill and Lee Penny Baker are selected for display by the Arts Council of the Blue Ridge."
The Arts Council of the Blue Ridge has released the names of the 43 artists whose work was selected for the 30th annual Roanoke City Art Show, which opens next Thursday, October 1st., the first day of the Roanoke Arts Festival.
And here they are:

The show runs through November 8th., in the second floor galleries at Center in the Square in downtown Roanoke. This year's juror, Beth Grabowski, is an art professor at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. The reception and awards ceremony happens from 5 - 7 PM., on the opening day.

CommunityArtsWork is a partnership between Virginia Tech and the regional arts association.
